始终绷紧粮食安全这根弦

Food security is a fundamental pillar of national security. As a country with a population of 1.4 billion, China must always remain vigilant about food security and ensure that its people’s food supply remains firmly in its own hands. Although China has enjoyed consecutive years of bountiful harvests, potential threats from global climate change, geopolitical conflicts, and tightening resource constraints continue to pose risks to food production. Therefore, it is essential to maintain a bottom-line mindset, strengthen risk awareness, and strategically coordinate all aspects of food production, storage, distribution, and consumption.On one hand, China must strictly protect its arable land—maintaining the red line of 180 million mu (about 120 million hectares)—enhance high-standard farmland construction, advance agricultural technology, and promote agricultural modernization. On the other hand, it should actively promote food conservation and combat waste, fostering a societal culture that values every grain of food. Additionally, a robust emergency food reserve and response system must be established to enhance resilience during crises. Only through proactive planning and sustained efforts can China maintain strategic autonomy amid a volatile global environment and provide a solid foundation for stable socioeconomic development.

粮食安全是国家安全的重要基础。中国作为拥有14亿人口的大国,必须始终绷紧粮食安全这根弦,确保饭碗牢牢端在自己手中。近年来,尽管我国粮食连年丰收,但全球气候变化、地缘政治冲突、资源约束趋紧等因素仍对粮食生产构成潜在威胁。因此,必须坚持底线思维,强化风险意识,从战略高度统筹粮食生产、储备、流通和消费各环节。一方面,要牢牢守住18亿亩耕地红线,加强高标准农田建设,提升农业科技水平,推动农业现代化;另一方面,要倡导节约粮食、反对浪费,形成全社会珍惜粮食的良好风尚。同时,还需健全粮食应急保障体系,提高应对突发事件的能力。只有未雨绸缪、常抓不懈,才能在复杂多变的国际环境中保持战略主动,切实保障国家粮食安全,为经济社会稳定发展提供坚实支撑。
