Starting January 26, 2024, China Railway Nanchang Group Co., Ltd. (commonly known as ‘Nanchang Railway’ or ‘Nan Tie’) has implemented a new train operation schedule. This adjustment is based on changes in passenger demand, enhanced line capacity, and the opening of new railway lines, aiming to improve transportation efficiency and enhance the travel experience for passengers.Under the new timetable, a total of 635.5 pairs of passenger trains are scheduled—12 more pairs than before. Additional high-speed services have been introduced between Nanchang and major cities such as Shenzhen, Xiamen, and Guangzhou, strengthening transportation links between Jiangxi Province and the Greater Bay Area as well as the Western Taiwan Straits Economic Zone. Moreover, departure and arrival times on existing routes have been optimized to reduce travel duration and improve punctuality.To accommodate the peak Spring Festival travel rush, Nanchang Railway will dynamically add temporary trains and reinforce passenger handling and emergency response capabilities at key stations. The revised schedule also takes into account the travel needs of students, migrant workers, and those visiting relatives, ensuring sufficient capacity and orderly, safe transportation during the holiday period.Overall, this timetable update reflects Nanchang Railway’s passenger-centric approach, supporting regional economic development and offering more convenient, efficient travel options through scientifically optimized operations.
