Recently, there have been reports that the highly anticipated Nanyang–Xinyang–Hefei High-Speed Railway (Nanxinhe HSR) project may commence construction within this year, drawing significant attention from regions along its route. As a key trunk line in China’s 14th Five-Year Plan for railway development, the approximately 360-kilometer high-speed rail corridor is designed for speeds of up to 350 km/h, linking Nanyang and Xinyang in Henan Province with Hefei in Anhui Province. It serves as a critical east-west artery in central China’s high-speed rail network.Upon completion, the line will dramatically reduce travel time between southeastern Henan and central Anhui—cutting the journey from Nanyang to Hefei to under two hours—and significantly enhance regional transportation efficiency. Additionally, it will interconnect with major national rail corridors such as the Beijing–Hong Kong high-speed line and the Shanghai–Wuhan–Chengdu passenger-dedicated line, strengthening integration between the Central Plains and Yangtze River Delta urban clusters.Feasibility studies and preliminary design approvals have already been finalized, with preparatory work underway for certain control-point engineering segments. If construction begins as scheduled this year, the project is expected to take four to five years to complete. Beyond boosting economic development in historically revolutionary and less-developed areas along the route, the railway will also facilitate tourism integration and industrial upgrading, playing a vital role in advancing China’s strategy for the rise of central regions.
近日，备受关注的南信合高铁（南阳—信阳—合肥高速铁路）项目传出或将年内开工的消息，引发沿线地区广泛关注。作为国家‘十四五’铁路发展规划中的重要干线，南信合高铁全长约360公里，设计时速350公里，连接河南南阳、信阳与安徽合肥三大城市，是中部地区东西向高速铁路网的关键一环。该项目建成后，将显著缩短豫东南与皖中地区的时空距离，南阳至合肥的旅行时间有望压缩至2小时以内，极大提升区域交通效率。同时，南信合高铁还将与京港高铁、沪汉蓉通道等国家主干铁路网实现互联互通，强化中原城市群与长三角城市群的联动发展。目前，项目已完成可行性研究和初步设计审批，部分控制性工程已启动前期工作。若年内如期开工，预计建设周期为4至5年。该线路不仅将带动沿线革命老区、欠发达地区的经济发展，还将促进旅游资源整合与产业升级，对推动中部崛起战略具有重要意义。
