Recently, Qingdao Port has surpassed the milestone of 700 million metric tons in annual cargo throughput, setting a new historical record and solidifying its position among the world’s leading ports. As one of China’s most important comprehensive ports in the north, Qingdao Port leverages its strategic geographic location, advanced infrastructure, and highly efficient smart operations to play a pivotal role in global supply chains. This achievement reflects not only the port’s success in enhancing loading/unloading efficiency, logistics coordination, and digital transformation but also underscores the resilience of China’s foreign trade and the sustained vitality of regional economies. In recent years, Qingdao Port has actively pursued the development of a ‘smart port,’ widely adopting technologies such as 5G, artificial intelligence, and automation to significantly improve operational efficiency and service quality.
