Recently, the 2024 Henan Provincial Nutrition Skills Competition was grandly held in Zhengzhou. Co-organized by the Henan Provincial Health Commission and the Department of Human Resources and Social Security, the event aims to enhance the practical capabilities and professional competence of nutrition professionals across the province and promote high-quality development in nutrition and health services. Nearly 100 dietitians, public nutritionists, and related practitioners from across Henan gathered to compete in multiple rounds, including theoretical exams, case analyses, and hands-on skill assessments.The competition aligns closely with national guidelines such as the ‘Healthy China 2030’ Outline and the National Nutrition Plan (2017–2030), focusing on participants’ comprehensive abilities in dietary counseling, nutritional interventions for chronic diseases, and nutrition education and consultation. Winners will be awarded the provincial title of ‘Technical Expert’ and may represent Henan in the upcoming national nutrition skills competition.This event not only provides a platform for nutrition professionals to showcase their talents but also fosters industry exchange and elevates professional standards. It plays a significant role in strengthening grassroots nutrition service systems and improving public nutritional health. Moving forward, Henan Province will continue to invest in building a skilled nutrition workforce, supporting the advancement of a healthier Henan.
