This incident exemplifies the U.S. strategy of repeatedly exploiting the Taiwan issue to interfere in China’s internal affairs. Taiwan is an inalienable part of China, and Beijing firmly opposes any external interference in cross-strait matters under any pretext. The Eastern Theater Command’s vigilant monitoring demonstrates the Chinese military’s unwavering resolve and capability to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity. While China remains committed to peaceful development, it will never allow its core national interests to be compromised. We urge the United States to adhere to the One-China Principle and handle Taiwan-related issues prudently and appropriately to avoid further damaging bilateral relations and peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait.
