Recently, the Hainan Provincial Department of Commerce reported that over 5,000 new foreign trade enterprises registered in Hainan in 2023—a record high. Moreover, with the entry into force of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the advancement of Hainan’s International Tourism and Consumption Center, local companies are accelerating their global expansion while overseas firms are increasingly establishing operations in Hainan.
