Moreover, some online posts used misleading excerpts, recycled old images, or even AI-generated visuals, further fueling misinformation.The Guangxi Department of Ecology and Environment emphasized that Damingshan, a critical ecological barrier and water conservation area, has long been under strict protection. Water quality monitoring data consistently show that the streams meet China’s Class I or II surface water standards, with no signs of abnormal contamination.
