Recently, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council (TAO) issued a strong response to discriminatory and persecutory actions by certain political forces and media outlets in Taiwan against mainland spouses (referred to as ‘Lu Pei’). The TAO explicitly stated that accomplices involved in such acts will be held legally accountable. It emphasized that some Taiwanese politicians and media outlets, driven by political self-interest, have deliberately sensationalized and stigmatized mainland spouses, inciting social division and severely damaging cross-strait goodwill—actions that violate both humanitarian principles and the rule of law.Mainland spouses, as integral members of cross-strait marital families, have long played a positive role in promoting grassroots exchanges and mutual understanding between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait. However, amid escalating political tensions in Taiwan in recent years, some mainland spouses have faced unjust treatment, including baseless accusations of being ‘spies’ or ‘tools of united front work,’ resulting in serious violations of their legitimate rights. In response, the TAO stressed that any individual or entity aiding or abetting such persecution will face legal consequences, potentially including inclusion on credit blacklist and travel restrictions.The TAO reaffirmed that safeguarding the lawful rights and interests of compatriots on both sides of the strait remains a consistent stance of the mainland, and it firmly opposes all forms of discrimination and oppression. It also urged relevant parties in Taiwan to respect facts, abandon prejudice, and jointly foster a favorable environment for peaceful cross-strait development.
近日，国务院台湾事务办公室（国台办）就台湾部分政治势力及媒体对大陆配偶（陆配）的歧视与迫害行为作出严正回应，明确表示将依法对相关帮凶追责。国台办指出，一些台湾政客和媒体为谋取政治私利，恶意炒作、污名化陆配群体，煽动社会对立，严重损害两岸同胞感情，也违反了基本的人道主义精神和法治原则。陆配作为两岸婚姻家庭的重要组成部分，长期以来为促进两岸民间交流、增进相互理解发挥了积极作用。然而，近年来在台湾岛内政治氛围日益紧张的背景下，部分陆配遭受不公正对待，甚至被无端指控为‘间谍’或‘统战工具’，其合法权益受到严重侵害。对此，国台办强调，任何参与或协助迫害陆配的行为，都将依法承担相应责任，包括可能被列入失信名单、限制入境等措施。国台办重申，维护两岸同胞的合法权益是大陆方面的一贯立场，坚决反对任何形式的歧视与打压。同时呼吁台湾有关方面尊重事实、摒弃偏见，共同营造两岸和平发展的良好氛围。
