Recently, the main tower of the 2024 Harbin Ice and Snow World has been topped out, marking the project’s entry into its final construction phase. As one of the world’s largest ice and snow-themed parks, Harbin Ice and Snow World attracts millions of visitors each winter to admire intricate ice sculptures and enjoy winter-themed attractions. This year’s main tower, themed “Dragon Soaring in Prosperous Times,” stands approximately 50 meters tall and is crafted from over ten thousand tons of natural ice harvested from the Songhua River and compacted snow. It seamlessly blends traditional Chinese dragon motifs with modern architectural aesthetics, creating a majestic and luminous centerpiece. Serving as both the visual focal point of the park and a symbol of good fortune and hope for the new year, the tower’s completion signals that other scenic areas and recreational facilities within the park are also nearing readiness. The park is expected to officially open to the public in late December. Harbin Ice and Snow World not only showcases the unique ice-and-snow culture of northern China but has also become a premier winter tourism destination for both domestic and international travelers.
