This achievement not only highlights Shenzhen’s resilience as China’s top city for foreign trade but also underscores its pivotal role in the global supply chain. Exports totaled RMB 2.61 trillion, maintaining Shenzhen’s position as the nation’s leading exporter among major cities for the 31st consecutive year, while imports amounted to RMB 1.94 trillion, with an increasingly optimized structure. High-tech products have become the main driver of export growth, particularly in electromechanical goods and the so-called “new trio”—electric vehicles, lithium batteries, and solar cells—which saw rapid expansion. Moreover, Shenzhen has actively diversified its international markets, significantly boosting trade with ASEAN, the EU, and countries along the Belt and Road Initiative. The implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and the development of key cooperation platforms such as Qianhai and the Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Innovation Zone have further energized high-quality trade growth. Moving forward, Shenzhen will continue deepening institutional opening-up to stabilize trade volume, optimize structure, and strengthen momentum, reinforcing its leadership in the global trade landscape.
