In June 2024, the inaugural Anhui Provincial Brain-Computer Interface (BCI) Innovation and Development Conference opened grandly in Hefei. Themed “Intelligence Unleashed: Connecting Brains to Everything,” the event brought together experts and industry representatives from universities, research institutes, medical institutions, and tech companies across China to discuss the latest advances, applications, and industrialization pathways of BCI technologies. During the conference, multiple research achievements and collaborative projects in the BCI field were unveiled, and the Anhui Brain-Computer Interface Innovation Consortium was officially launched to integrate regional resources and accelerate breakthroughs in core technologies and their commercialization. As a key hub in China’s national science and technology innovation strategy, Anhui Province is actively investing in frontier areas such as brain science and brain-inspired intelligence. Through policy support, platform development, and talent cultivation, the province aims to build a robust BCI industry ecosystem. This conference not only highlights Anhui’s forward-looking commitment to the field but also injects new momentum into nationwide collaborative innovation and high-quality development of brain-computer interface technologies.
