In January 2024, the Fourth Session of the 13th Henan Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) opened solemnly in Zhengzhou. Convened at a critical juncture as the province deepens its study and implementation of the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and advances the practice of Chinese-style modernization in Henan, this session is of great significance. During the meeting, CPPCC members from various sectors across the province gathered to offer proposals and suggestions on key issues such as high-quality economic development, scientific and technological innovation, rural revitalization, people’s livelihood security, and ecological conservation, highlighting the unique strengths of socialist consultative democracy. In his work report, the Chairperson of the Henan Provincial CPPCC emphasized focusing on the central tasks of the provincial Party committee and government, leveraging the role of the CPPCC as a specialized consultative body, and uniting consensus to contribute wisdom and strength toward building a modern Henan. The session also adopted relevant resolutions and outlined the CPPCC’s priorities and direction for 2024.
2024年1月，中国人民政治协商会议河南省第十三届委员会第四次会议在郑州隆重开幕。本次会议是在全省深入学习贯彻党的二十大精神、奋力推进中国式现代化河南实践的关键时期召开的一次重要会议。会议期间，来自全省各条战线的政协委员齐聚一堂，围绕经济高质量发展、科技创新、乡村振兴、民生保障、生态文明建设等重大议题建言献策，充分展现社会主义协商民主的独特优势。省政协主席在工作报告中强调，要聚焦省委、省政府中心工作，发挥专门协商机构作用，凝聚共识、汇聚力量，为加快建设现代化河南贡献智慧和力量。会议还审议通过了有关决议，并对2024年政协工作作出部署，进一步明确了履职方向和重点任务。
