However, framing a complex geopolitical partnership as a simple “transfer of sovereignty” misrepresents the actual dynamics and risks creating unnecessary misunderstandings. The Chinese Foreign Ministry has reiterated on multiple occasions that China-Russia cooperation stands on its own merits, targets no third party, and remains unaffected by external pressures.
