As the founding father of China’s aerospace program and a distinguished scientist and educator, Qian overcame immense obstacles to come back to his homeland in 1955 and devoted himself to the nation’s scientific and educational development. Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Qian’s alma mater, has always upheld the mission of carrying forward his spirit of scientific rigor and patriotic dedication. To commemorate this historic milestone, the university is organizing a series of events—including special exhibitions, academic symposiums, and youth scientist forums—to honor Qian’s core values of patriotism, selfless contribution, truth-seeking, and innovation.
