The Chinese government remains committed to the basic policy of ‘peaceful reunification and one country, two systems.’ Adherence to the one-China principle is a widely accepted international consensus and the foundation for any country seeking to develop relations with China.China urges relevant parties to recognize the prevailing historical trend and cease all forms of ‘Taiwan independence’ separatist activities to jointly safeguard peace and development in cross-Strait relations and protect the fundamental interests of the Chinese nation.
