国内首个太空计算实验室落户上海

Recently, China’s first Space Computing Laboratory has officially been established in Shanghai, marking a significant step forward in integrating aerospace technology with high-performance computing. Jointly built by multiple research institutions and commercial space enterprises, the lab focuses on advanced computing technologies for deep-space exploration, satellite constellation management, and intelligent processing of space-based data. With the growing use of low-Earth orbit satellite internet, remote sensing big data, and artificial intelligence in aerospace applications, traditional ground-based computing architectures are increasingly inadequate for real-time processing of massive volumes of space data. The new laboratory will pioneer an ‘in-orbit computing’ paradigm—equipping satellites and other spacecraft with edge computing capabilities to process data directly in space. This approach significantly reduces communication latency, conserves bandwidth, and accelerates mission response times. Additionally, the lab will advance the adaptation and validation of domestically developed chips, operating systems, and algorithms under extreme space conditions, providing reliable computational support for future Chinese space stations, lunar bases, and deep-space missions. This initiative not only reinforces Shanghai’s role as a national hub for scientific and technological innovation but also lays a crucial foundation for China’s autonomous and secure space-based information infrastructure.

近日,国内首个太空计算实验室正式落户上海,标志着我国在航天科技与高性能计算融合领域迈出关键一步。该实验室由多家科研机构与商业航天企业联合共建,聚焦于面向深空探测、卫星星座管理及空间数据智能处理的先进计算技术研究。随着低轨卫星互联网、遥感大数据和人工智能在航天领域的广泛应用,传统地面计算架构已难以满足海量空间数据的实时处理需求。太空计算实验室将探索‘在轨计算’新模式,即让卫星等航天器具备边缘计算能力,在太空中完成部分数据处理任务,从而大幅降低通信延迟、节省带宽并提升任务响应速度。此外,实验室还将推动国产化芯片、操作系统和算法在极端空间环境下的适配与验证,为未来中国空间站、月球基地乃至深空探测任务提供可靠算力支撑。这一举措不仅强化了上海作为国家科技创新中心的地位,也为我国构建自主可控的‘天基信息基础设施’奠定重要基础。
