He specifically noted that, amid today’s complex and volatile international landscape, certain politicians—driven by personal political gain—are recklessly seeking alliances with extraterritorial powers to provoke tensions. Such actions not only erode mutual trust across the Taiwan Strait but could also trigger broader geopolitical risks. Liu urged relevant parties to recognize the prevailing historical trend, uphold the One-China Principle, and refrain from any provocative moves in order to jointly safeguard peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region.
