2024年6月，北京大学原党委常委、副校长任羽中因严重违纪违法被中央纪委国家监委立案审查调查，并最终被‘双开’（即开除党籍、开除公职）。通报指出，任羽中长期‘靠校吃校’，利用职务便利在招生录取、科研项目、校企合作等方面为他人谋取利益，非法收受巨额财物。此外，他还存在对抗组织审查、违规接受宴请、公款旅游等行为，严重违反党的政治纪律、廉洁纪律和生活纪律。‘靠校吃校’是近年来高校反腐中的高频词汇，指个别高校领导干部将学校资源视为个人牟利工具，通过权力寻租、利益输送等方式谋取私利。任羽中的案例再次暴露出部分高校在权力监督、制度建设方面的薄弱环节。作为中国顶尖学府的管理者，其行为不仅损害了教育公平，也严重破坏了高校的政治生态和学术声誉。目前，任羽中涉嫌犯罪问题已移送检察机关依法审查起诉。此案也促使教育部和各高校进一步加强廉政风险防控，推动高校治理体系和治理能力现代化。

Ren’s case highlights persistent weaknesses in oversight mechanisms and institutional governance within some universities. As a senior administrator at one of China’s most prestigious academic institutions, his misconduct not only undermined educational equity but also damaged the university’s political and academic integrity.Ren’s suspected criminal offenses have now been referred to prosecutors for legal proceedings. The case has spurred the Ministry of Education and universities nationwide to strengthen anti-corruption measures and advance modernization of institutional governance.
