This significantly reduces the risk of hyper- and hypoglycemia while improving patients’ quality of life. Additionally, AI-powered health platforms can offer personalized recommendations based on an individual’s diet, exercise, and medication habits, and even predict future glucose fluctuations.In China, tech companies and medical institutions are collaborating to advance digital therapeutics for diabetes, with several products already approved by the National Medical Products Administration. Experts note that while smart technologies cannot fully replace conventional treatments, they greatly enhance patients’ self-management capabilities, shifting diabetes care from passive treatment toward proactive prevention and control. With the ongoing development of 5G, IoT, and edge computing, intelligent diabetes management is set to become even more efficient, accessible, and widespread.
