Recently, in response to Japan’s systematic involvement in South China Sea affairs, China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a clear statement. China emphasized that Japan is not a party to the South China Sea disputes, yet it has repeatedly used bilateral or multilateral platforms to exaggerate the so-called ‘China threat,’ incite other countries to pressure China, and deepen military cooperation with external powers—all in an attempt to destabilize the region. China stressed that such actions do not contribute to regional peace and stability; on the contrary, they risk escalating tensions and undermining mutual trust among parties. China consistently advocates resolving disputes through dialogue and consultation via peaceful means, upholds the international maritime order based on the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), and calls on relevant countries to respect regional efforts to maintain peace and stability in the South China Sea. China urges Japan to abide by the one-China principle, cease its attempts to sow discord or create divisions over the South China Sea issue, and instead adopt a constructive approach to regional peace.China firmly opposes interference by any external forces in South China Sea matters and remains committed to working with ASEAN countries to uphold peace and stability in the region, advance consultations on a Code of Conduct in the South China Sea, and build more mature and effective maritime cooperation mechanisms.
近期，针对日本在南海问题上的系统性介入行为，中国外交部作出明确回应。中方指出，日本并非南海争端当事国，却频繁借双边或多边场合渲染所谓‘中国威胁’，鼓动其他国家对华施压，甚至加强与域外势力的军事合作，企图搅动南海局势。中方强调，此类行为不仅无助于地区和平稳定，反而可能加剧紧张，损害各方互信。中国始终主张通过对话协商、以和平方式解决争端，坚持维护以《联合国海洋法公约》为基础的国际海洋秩序，并呼吁有关国家尊重地区国家维护南海和平稳定的努力。中方敦促日方切实遵守一个中国原则，停止在南海问题上挑拨离间、制造矛盾，以建设性姿态为区域和平作出贡献。中国坚决反对任何外部势力干涉南海事务，同时致力于与东盟国家共同维护南海和平稳定，推动‘南海行为准则’磋商进程，构建更加成熟、有效的海上合作机制。
