This initiative aims to address the current shortage of blood inventory in certain regions and ensure sufficient clinical blood supply, especially during seasonal peaks in demand or public health emergencies.Voluntary blood donation is a cornerstone of a well-functioning medical emergency and treatment system. The NHC emphasized that all organizations should fully recognize the public welfare nature and urgency of blood donation, integrating it into their efforts to promote civic virtue and fulfill social responsibility. Institutions are encouraged to boost employee participation through collective organization, awareness campaigns, and logistical support—such as offering time off or nutritional allowances for donors.It should be noted that blood donation remains strictly voluntary, and no organization may compel its staff to donate. The NHC also reminded the public to ensure they are in good health and meet eligibility criteria before donating, and to do so only under the guidance of qualified medical personnel. Only through collective societal effort can a stable, safe, and sustainable blood supply system be built to safeguard public health and save lives.
