In the first 11 months of this year, China’s foreign trade has demonstrated remarkable resilience and structural strengths. According to data from the General Administration of Customs, the total value of China’s goods trade imports and exports rose by 0.6% year-on-year—an achievement made against a backdrop of complex and challenging global conditions. Exports stood out particularly, growing by 1.2%, driven by robust demand for high-tech and high-value-added products. Notably, the so-called ‘new trio’—electric passenger vehicles, lithium-ion batteries, and solar cells—saw combined exports surge by nearly 30%, emerging as a key driver of trade growth. Meanwhile, private enterprises have further solidified their role as the backbone of foreign trade, accounting for 54.3% of the nation’s total trade volume, reflecting their dynamism and competitiveness. On the regional front, benefits from the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) continue to materialize, with trade volumes with ASEAN and Belt and Road Initiative partner countries increasing by 2.2% and 2.7%, respectively, highlighting the success of China’s diversified market strategy. Overall, China’s foreign trade structure is steadily improving, with new growth drivers gaining momentum and providing strong support for achieving this year’s stable trade objectives.
