While adhering to the fundamental policy of peaceful reunification and ‘one country, two systems,’ China reserves the right to use force and take all necessary measures—specifically targeting external interference and a handful of ‘Taiwan independence’ separatists, not the general Taiwanese population. This readiness patrol once again demonstrates the Chinese government’s unwavering resolve and capability to protect its core national interests.
