Recently, the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region has achieved a historic milestone by surpassing 100 billion kilowatt-hours (kWh) in electricity exports for the first time, highlighting its growing role in China’s ‘West-to-East Power Transmission’ strategy. As a key national energy hub, Ningxia leverages abundant wind, solar, and coal resources to develop both clean energy and high-efficiency thermal power. The region has established a robust electricity transmission system centered on ultra-high-voltage (UHV) direct current lines. Currently, two major UHV DC corridors—the Yindong and Lingshao lines—have been completed, with a combined annual transmission capacity exceeding 20 gigawatts, delivering power to eastern load centers such as Shandong and Zhejiang provinces. This breakthrough not only demonstrates Ningxia’s progress in energy transition and green development but also helps alleviate electricity shortages in eastern China, supporting the nation’s broader goals of optimizing its energy mix and achieving carbon peak and carbon neutrality. Moving forward, Ningxia plans to accelerate the construction of renewable energy bases and enhance grid intelligence to transmit even more clean electricity across regions, contributing further to national energy security and sustainable development.
近日，宁夏回族自治区外送电量首次突破1000亿千瓦时大关，标志着该地区在国家‘西电东送’战略中发挥着日益重要的作用。作为我国重要的能源基地，宁夏依托丰富的风能、太阳能和煤炭资源，大力发展清洁能源和高效火电，构建起以特高压直流输电通道为核心的电力外送体系。目前，宁夏已建成银东、灵绍两条特高压直流外送通道，年输送能力超过2000万千瓦，电力远送至山东、浙江等东部负荷中心。此次外送电量突破千亿千瓦时，不仅体现了宁夏能源转型与绿色发展的成效，也有效缓解了东部地区用电紧张局面，助力全国能源结构优化和‘双碳’目标实现。未来，宁夏将继续加快新能源基地建设，提升电网智能化水平，推动更多清洁电力跨区外送，为国家能源安全和可持续发展作出更大贡献。
