In June 2024, the Guizhou Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision announced that Kuang Shunhang, former Party Committee member and Deputy Director of the Guizhou Provincial Development and Reform Commission, has been expelled from both the Communist Party and public office (commonly referred to as ‘double expulsion’) due to serious violations of discipline and law. The investigation revealed that Kuang had abandoned his ideals and original mission, violated the CPC Central Committee’s Eight-point Regulation by accepting gifts and cash that could influence the impartial performance of his duties, and abused his position to seek benefits for others in project approvals and fund allocations, illegally accepting substantial bribes—actions涉嫌 constituting bribery under criminal law. His conduct gravely breached the Party’s political and integrity disciplines as well as national laws, with severe consequences and negative impact. In accordance with the CPC Disciplinary Regulations and the PRC Supervision Law, the Provincial Discipline Inspection Commission, upon approval by the Provincial Party Committee, decided to expel him from the Party and remove him from public office, confiscate all illicit gains, and transfer his case to prosecutors for criminal review and indictment. This case underscores the Chinese leadership’s unwavering commitment to comprehensive and strict Party governance, sending a clear message that anti-corruption efforts recognize no禁区, cover all areas, and tolerate zero corruption.
2024年6月，贵州省纪委监委通报，贵州省发展和改革委员会原党组成员、副主任况顺航因严重违纪违法被开除党籍和公职（即‘双开’）。经查，况顺航丧失理想信念，背弃初心使命，违反中央八项规定精神，收受可能影响公正执行公务的礼品礼金；利用职务便利为他人在项目审批、资金拨付等方面谋取利益，并非法收受巨额财物，涉嫌受贿犯罪。其行为严重违反党的政治纪律、廉洁纪律和国家法律法规，性质恶劣，影响极坏。依据《中国共产党纪律处分条例》《中华人民共和国监察法》等有关规定，经省纪委常委会会议研究并报省委批准，决定给予况顺航开除党籍处分；由省监委给予其开除公职处分；收缴其违纪违法所得；将其涉嫌犯罪问题移送检察机关依法审查起诉。此案再次彰显了党中央坚定不移推进全面从严治党的决心，释放出反腐败无禁区、全覆盖、零容忍的强烈信号。
