The U.S. accusation that China’s actions ‘undermine regional stability’ reveals its true intention to interfere in China’s internal affairs and embolden ‘Taiwan independence’ separatist forces. The spokesperson emphasized that Taiwan is an inalienable part of China, and any attempt to challenge the one-China principle is doomed to fail. While China remains committed to peaceful development, it firmly opposes any form of external interference or separatist activities. The Ministry urged the U.S. to abide by the one-China policy and the principles set forth in the three China-U.S. joint communiqués, and to cease playing with fire on Taiwan-related issues, so as not to further damage bilateral relations and peace and stability across the Taiwan Strait.
