Historically, Erenhot’s mutual market trade has primarily focused on imports. With the new export channel, eligible border residents can now sell locally produced goods—such as food, daily necessities, and handicrafts—to Mongolia, diversifying bilateral trade and creating new income opportunities for local communities.Under relevant policies, participating border residents must operate within designated zones and benefit from a duty-free allowance of RMB 8,000 per person per day. This incentive aims to boost grassroots participation in foreign trade and enhance economic vitality in border areas.
