The Chinese ambassador stressed that history must not be distorted and justice must not be challenged. Any effort to falsify or glorify Japan’s aggressive past not only deeply hurts the feelings of people in victimized Asian countries but also seriously undermines regional peace and mutual trust. China urges relevant parties to learn from history and work toward a shared future by respecting historical facts and ensuring that China-Japan relations develop on the right track. Moreover, China firmly opposes any external forces exploiting such issues to interfere in regional affairs or destabilize the Asia-Pacific. China consistently advocates resolving differences through dialogue and cooperation to uphold regional peace and stability.
