Recently, Yunnan Energy Investment Co., Ltd. (shortened as ‘Yunnan Energy Investment’) announced a RMB 406 million investment to develop the Nanchong Wind Farm project. Located in Chuxiong Yi Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan Province, the project has a total installed capacity of 100 megawatts and is expected to generate approximately 230 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 180,000 tons per year. The construction of the Nanchong Wind Farm represents a key step by Yunnan Energy Investment in actively supporting China’s national ‘dual carbon’ goals—carbon peak and carbon neutrality—and accelerating its green energy transition. Upon completion, the project will further optimize the local energy mix, increase the share of clean energy, and contribute green momentum to regional economic development. As one of China’s provinces rich in wind and solar resources, Yunnan offers natural advantages for renewable energy development. In recent years, Yunnan Energy Investment has significantly increased its investments in wind and photovoltaic power, aiming to become a leading green energy enterprise in Southwest China. The Nanchong Wind Farm is scheduled to be completed and connected to the grid by the end of 2025, providing stable and clean electricity to support both energy security and environmental sustainability.
近日，云南能源投资股份有限公司（简称“云南能投”）宣布投资4.06亿元人民币建设南冲风电场项目。该项目位于云南省楚雄彝族自治州，总装机容量为100兆瓦，预计年发电量可达2.3亿千瓦时，每年可减少二氧化碳排放约18万吨。南冲风电场的建设是云南能投积极响应国家“双碳”战略、加快绿色能源转型的重要举措。项目建成后，将进一步优化当地能源结构，提升清洁能源占比，并为区域经济发展注入绿色动能。云南作为我国风能和太阳能资源富集地区之一，具备发展新能源的天然优势。云南能投近年来持续加大在风电、光伏等可再生能源领域的投入，致力于打造西南地区领先的绿色能源企业。南冲风电场项目计划于2025年底前建成并网，届时将为电网提供稳定、清洁的电力供应，助力实现能源安全与生态环保的双重目标。
