The 5th China Industrial Software Conference was grandly held in Chongqing in June 2024. Themed ‘Intelligent Digitalization Driving Integrated Innovation,’ the event brought together over a thousand representatives from government bodies, universities, research institutes, and industrial software enterprises to discuss the pivotal role of industrial software in smart manufacturing, digital transformation, and the advancement of new-type industrialization. The conference featured a main forum and multiple specialized sub-forums covering cutting-edge topics such as industrial operating systems, CAE simulation, EDA design, and industrial internet platforms. It also showcased the latest achievements and application cases of domestically developed industrial software. During the event, several companies unveiled newly developed products, highlighting China’s strong commitment and notable progress in overcoming ‘bottleneck’ technologies and building a self-reliant industrial software ecosystem. As a key national hub for modern manufacturing, Chongqing is actively fostering an industrial software cluster to support high-quality development in the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle. This year’s conference not only provided a high-level platform for industry exchange but also injected significant momentum into accelerating China’s independent innovation and industrialization of industrial software.
