In June 2024, the Shenzhou-21 (Shenzhou XXI) crew successfully completed their first extravehicular activity (EVA), marking another significant milestone in the routine operation phase of China’s space station. Conducted by mission commander Li Cong and astronaut Wang Hao, the spacewalk lasted approximately seven hours and focused on external station inspections, robotic arm coordination tests, and performance validation of next-generation extravehicular suits. This was China’s 13th EVA overall and the first of two planned for the Shenzhou-21 mission. With close support from ground control, the astronauts accomplished all scheduled objectives, gaining valuable experience for future scientific experiments and external maintenance tasks. Notably, this EVA featured an upgraded version of China’s ‘Feitian’ spacesuit, offering enhanced mobility, extended battery life, and an intelligent life-support system—significantly improving safety and operational efficiency. Since docking with the China Space Station, the Shenzhou-21 crew has conducted numerous microgravity experiments and technology demonstrations, underscoring the steady advancement of China’s human spaceflight program toward high-standard, sustainable development.
2024年6月，神舟二十一次飞行任务（简称‘神21’）乘组圆满完成首次出舱活动，标志着中国空间站常态化运营阶段又一重要进展。此次出舱由指令长李聪与航天员王浩共同执行，历时约7小时，主要任务包括空间站外部设备巡检、机械臂协同操作测试以及新一代舱外服性能验证。这是中国航天员第13次执行出舱任务，也是神21任务期间计划的两次出舱中的第一次。在地面飞控中心的密切配合下，两名航天员顺利完成了全部既定目标，为后续空间科学实验和舱外维护积累了宝贵经验。此次任务还首次应用了升级版‘飞天’舱外航天服，具备更强的灵活性、更长的续航能力及智能化生命保障系统，显著提升了出舱作业的安全性与效率。神21乘组自进驻中国空间站以来，已开展多项微重力科学实验和技术试验，展现了中国载人航天工程稳步迈向高水准、可持续发展的新阶段。
