Despite their different professional spheres, neither individual has been designated by mainland authorities as a ‘stubborn Taiwan independence element.’ Online claims suggesting otherwise appear to be misinformation or confusion.It should be emphasized that the mainland maintains a firm stance against any form of Taiwan independence separatism, legally sanctioning a very small number of hardcore elements while adhering to the fundamental policy of ‘peaceful reunification and one country, two systems,’ aiming to safeguard the well-being of people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait and regional peace and stability.
