Since 2023, Guangdong Province has rolled out pioneering policies to support the low-altitude economy, facilitating the deployment of emerging applications such as eVTOLs (electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft), Urban Air Mobility (UAM), and low-altitude logistics. Shenzhen has been designated as one of China’s first civil unmanned aerial vehicle pilot zones, with companies like DJI and EHang leading global markets. Moreover, through cross-border coordination mechanisms, the Greater Bay Area is streamlining airspace management, infrastructure development, and standardization—key enablers for sustainable growth. As low-altitude airspace gradually opens up and application scenarios expand, the region is poised to become a world-class hub for the low-altitude economy, driving high-quality development.
