According to the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, a key local aerospace technology company has successfully developed a new industrial-grade drone featuring extended flight time, high-precision navigation, and intelligent obstacle avoidance. Built with domestically produced high-performance composite materials and an independently developed flight control system, the drone remains stable even in extreme cold—making it especially suitable for applications such as agricultural spraying, forest fire monitoring, and power line inspections under Heilongjiang’s harsh winter conditions.This advancement not only fills a gap in specialized drones designed for high-latitude regions in China but also promotes coordinated development across the local industrial chain. Leveraging research resources from institutions like Harbin Institute of Technology and Harbin Engineering University, Heilongjiang is accelerating the construction of an integrated drone ecosystem encompassing R&D, manufacturing, testing, and application. The province plans to establish a national-level drone test base and expand drone deployment in smart agriculture, border patrol, and emergency response—supporting the transformation and upgrading of Northeast China’s traditional industrial base.Experts note that with its unique geographical environment and solid industrial foundation, Heilongjiang is poised to become a major hub for drone innovation and manufacturing in northern China, injecting new momentum into regional economic growth.
