花旗:老铺黄金或受益于春节需求

Citigroup recently issued a report indicating that Laopu Gold, a premium Chinese gold jewelry brand, is poised to benefit from strong festive demand during the 2024 Chinese New Year holiday. Known for its traditional “Gufa” (ancient-method) gold craftsmanship, Laopu Gold has rapidly gained favor among high-net-worth consumers due to its cultural heritage, artisanal quality, and product scarcity. The Spring Festival, China’s most important traditional holiday, has historically been a peak season for gold jewelry sales, as consumers typically purchase gold items as gifts, for weddings, or as a store of value. Citi analysts believe that with domestic consumer confidence gradually recovering and the concentrated spending effect of the holiday period, Laopu Gold could see notable growth in same-store sales and overall revenue. Additionally, the brand’s ongoing expansion into upscale shopping malls in Tier-1 and new Tier-1 cities provides further channel support for its seasonal performance. Citi maintains a ‘Buy’ rating on Laopu Gold and expects solid earnings growth in fiscal year 2024.
