He urges Taiwanese society to reassess its current policy direction and avoid sacrificing the safety and future of the entire population for personal political gain. Kuo’s remarks reflect deep concerns among some segments of Taiwanese society regarding the ruling authorities’ ‘resist China, protect Taiwan’ strategy and highlight growing internal divisions and anxieties over the future of cross-strait relations.
