农业开源大语言模型“司农”发布

Recently, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, in collaboration with multiple research institutions and tech companies, officially launched ‘Sinong’—the world’s first open-source large language model dedicated to agriculture. Named after the ancient Chinese official title ‘Sinong,’ which oversaw agricultural affairs, the model aims to empower modern agriculture through artificial intelligence. Trained on extensive agricultural corpora, Sinong covers specialized domains such as crop cultivation, pest and disease control, soil management, smart farming machinery, and agricultural policy. It can understand and respond to complex agricultural queries, offering efficient and accurate support to farmers, agronomists, and researchers. As an open-source model, Sinong allows developers to freely use, modify, and deploy it, fostering a collaborative community to build an AI-driven agricultural ecosystem. Its release not only fills a critical gap in vertical-domain large language models but also marks a significant step forward in China’s pursuit of technological self-reliance in agriculture, with strong potential to accelerate the adoption of smart farming and advance rural revitalization.

近日,中国农业科学院联合多家科研机构与科技企业,正式发布了全球首个专注于农业领域的开源大语言模型——“司农”。该模型以中国古代主管农业的官职“司农”命名,旨在利用人工智能技术赋能现代农业发展。‘司农’基于大规模农业语料训练,涵盖作物栽培、病虫害防治、土壤管理、智能农机、农业政策等多个专业方向,能够理解并回答复杂的农业技术问题,为农民、农技人员和科研工作者提供高效、精准的智能服务。作为开源模型,‘司农’支持开发者自由使用、修改和部署,鼓励社区共建农业AI生态。其发布不仅填补了农业垂直领域大模型的空白,也标志着我国在农业科技自主创新方面迈出关键一步,有望推动智慧农业普及与乡村振兴战略深入实施。
