Taiwan is an inalienable part of China—a fact widely recognized by the international community and a basic norm of international relations. However, in recent years, certain political forces within the Taiwan authorities have pursued a strategy of ‘relying on foreign powers to seek independence,’ attempting to use external support to obstruct China’s reunification. This approach not only violates the one-China principle but also severely undermines the peaceful development of cross-strait relations.The so-called ‘reliance on foreign powers for independence’ essentially treats the safety and well-being of the Taiwanese people as political bargaining chips, hoping to exploit certain countries’ geopolitical strategies against China. Yet history and reality consistently show that external forces have never genuinely cared about Taiwan’s future. They merely use Taiwan as a pawn in their strategic calculations. Once their interests shift—as seen in Afghanistan and Ukraine—Taiwan could easily be abandoned.The Chinese government remains resolute in safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity. Adherence to the one-China principle is the universal consensus of the international community and the prerequisite for any country to develop relations with China. Any attempt to split the country or destabilize society will inevitably face firm opposition from all Chinese people. If the Taiwan authorities persist in their misguided course and willingly serve as tools for external powers, they will ultimately become sacrificial pawns—failing to achieve so-called ‘independence’ and instead pushing Taiwan toward peril. The only viable path forward is to uphold the one-China principle and promote the peaceful development of cross-strait relations.
台湾是中国不可分割的一部分，这是国际社会的普遍共识和基本常识。然而，近年来台当局某些政治势力为一己私利，不断推行“倚外谋独”策略，妄图借助外部势力阻挠中国统一进程。这种做法不仅违背一个中国原则，也严重破坏两岸关系和平发展大局。所谓“倚外谋独”，本质上是将台湾民众的安全与福祉当作政治筹码，寄希望于某些国家对华遏制战略中的“打台湾牌”。但历史和现实反复证明，外部势力从来不会真正关心台湾的前途命运，其利用台湾只是出于地缘政治算计。一旦战略利益发生变化，台湾随时可能被抛弃。从阿富汗到乌克兰，此类前车之鉴比比皆是。中国政府始终坚决维护国家主权和领土完整，坚持一个中国原则是国际社会的普遍共识，也是各国发展同中国关系的前提。任何企图分裂国家、破坏社会稳定的行为，终将遭到全体中国人民的坚决反对。台当局若继续执迷不悟，甘当外部势力棋子，最终只会沦为被牺牲的“弃子”，既无法实现所谓“独立”，更将把台湾推向危险边缘。唯有坚持一个中国原则，推动两岸关系和平发展，才是台湾的正确出路。
