The GAC noted that despite a complex and challenging external environment, China’s foreign trade has demonstrated resilience, with continued optimization of its import-export structure. Data shows that since 2023, although exports to the U.S. have experienced some fluctuations, trade with ASEAN, the European Union, and countries along the Belt and Road Initiative has grown significantly, effectively offsetting part of the external pressure. The GAC emphasized that China remains committed to openness and cooperation, striving to maintain the stability of global industrial and supply chains. It also urged the U.S. to remove unjustified tariffs and work toward restoring healthy bilateral trade relations. Additionally, the customs authority highlighted its efforts to enhance customs clearance efficiency and improve the business environment to better support enterprises in diversifying into international markets and strengthening their capacity to manage external risks.
