China consistently advocates resolving disputes through peaceful dialogue and consultation, and opposes any external interference in South China Sea issues or attempts to provoke confrontation and create bloc rivalries.China urges relevant countries to heed the region’s shared desire for peace and stability, and to take more steps that build trust and foster cooperation—rather than invoking an alleged ‘China threat’ as a pretext for military expansion or strengthening military alliances. China will continue to resolutely safeguard its national sovereignty and maritime rights while working with neighboring countries to promote a peaceful, secure, and prosperous regional environment.
