(China Railway) has repeatedly clarified that the official 12306 website and its mobile app are the only authorized channels for purchasing train tickets, and so-called “speed-up packages” do not actually improve booking success rates.In reality, the 12306 system uses a fair queuing mechanism: all user requests—whether submitted directly or via third-party apps—are processed equally. The “acceleration” offered by third-party services merely automates repeated ticket availability checks; it does not grant priority access or allow users to jump the queue. Experts advise travelers to book exclusively through the official 12306 platform to avoid unnecessary financial losses. Regulators should also strengthen oversight of third-party services to curb deceptive marketing practices and protect consumer rights and the integrity of the railway ticketing system.
