轰-6N与轰-6K究竟有何不同

The H-6N and H-6K are two key upgraded variants of China’s Xian H-6 bomber, sharing a common origin but differing significantly in mission roles. The H-6K, introduced in the early 2010s, is optimized for conventional long-range precision strikes against land and sea targets. It features modern turbofan engines, an enlarged radar nose cone, and multiple underwing hardpoints capable of carrying cruise missiles like the KD-20 or anti-ship missiles, with a combat radius exceeding 3,500 km—earning it the nickname ‘God of War.’ In contrast, the H-6N is a further evolution based on the H-6K, designed primarily as an airborne launch platform for strategic weapons. Its most distinctive feature is a reinforced centerline pylon under the fuselage, capable of carrying large air-launched ballistic missiles (possibly the CJ-20A or hypersonic glide vehicles). The H-6N also replaces the traditional navigator’s glazed nose with a solid radar radome and adds an aerial refueling probe, greatly extending its range and operational flexibility. In essence, while the H-6K focuses on conventional strike missions, the H-6N serves as a strategic delivery system, marking a significant step in China’s development of airborne strategic deterrence.
