China, the spokesperson emphasized, consistently adheres to the principles of mutual respect, fairness, justice, and win-win cooperation in handling international affairs and is committed to building a community with a shared future for humanity. China firmly opposes any attempts by certain U.S. politicians to distort facts or smear China for political gain, particularly through the repeated invocation of the so-called ‘China threat.’ The spokesperson also urged the U.S. side to view China’s development objectively, rationally, and constructively, abandon Cold War mentality and zero-sum thinking, and work together to steer bilateral relations back on track. China’s development represents a growing force for global peace and international justice, and any attempt to contain China’s progress will ultimately fail.
