In response, a spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated clearly that China has always advocated resolving international disputes through dialogue and consultation, and opposes any purported ‘peace mechanisms’ that carry political bias or exclusivity. The spokesperson emphasized that genuine peace must be grounded in respect for sovereignty, equality, mutual benefit, and adherence to the purposes and principles of the UN Charter. China consistently supports the UN-centered multilateral system and believes that any regional or global security initiative should be inclusive, transparent, and fully respectful of the will of the countries concerned. China calls on relevant parties to abandon Cold War mentality, avoid creating confrontation and division, and jointly advance the building of a community with a shared future for humanity. Beijing firmly opposes attempts by certain countries to use the guise of ‘peace’ to pursue bloc politics and will continue to resolutely uphold international fairness, justice, and global peace and stability.
