Starting June 15, 2024, Wuxi launched its first direct high-speed train service to Hong Kong, marking a significant step in strengthening transportation links between Wuxi and the Greater Bay Area. The G9763 train departs from Wuxi East Station, making stops at major hubs including Nanjing South, Hefei South, Nanchang West, and Shenzhen North, before arriving at Hong Kong’s West Kowloon Station. The entire journey takes approximately 8 hours, greatly facilitating travel and business exchanges between the two regions.This new direct service not only shortens the travel time between Wuxi and Hong Kong but also enhances connectivity between the Yangtze River Delta and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area—two key national strategic zones. Passengers can enjoy seamless cross-border travel with the “one-location, two-inspections” clearance process, improving both convenience and efficiency.As a major hub for advanced manufacturing and the Internet of Things (IoT) in the Yangtze River Delta, Wuxi complements Hong Kong’s strengths in finance, technology, and trade. The direct high-speed rail link will accelerate the flow of talent, capital, and information, fostering deeper collaboration.
