The redesign topic is merely a tactic used by a few to promote ‘de-Sinicization,’ lacking practical economic value and revealing their malicious intent to undermine cross-strait relations. The mainland has consistently emphasized that any attempt to sever historical and cultural ties is unpopular, and compatriots on both sides should work together to preserve the inheritance of Chinese culture and the broader goal of national unification.
