After over a year of comprehensive renovations, the Shanghai Science and Technology Museum is set to reopen to the public. New additions include the ‘Future Scientist’ gallery featuring interactive installations on AI and metaverse technologies to engage young minds, and the upgraded ‘Smart Planet’ exhibit using data visualization to address global ecological issues. The museum has incorporated energy-efficient lighting, low-carbon materials, and improved accessibility features. Blending science education with humanistic values, the revitalized museum aims to become a new urban landmark for immersive learning, with an expected opening in fall 2024.
