Although the incident caused no major casualties, it highlighted the importance of effective border dispute management. China has always advocated that all nations respect each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and properly manage differences through existing bilateral and regional mechanisms to avoid miscalculations and escalation. The Ministry reiterated that peace and stability form the foundation for regional development, and all issues should be resolved on the basis of mutual respect, equality, and mutual benefit.
