Recently, we conducted a real-world test of the Jetour Traveller C-DM. As Jetour’s first plug-in hybrid rugged SUV, the Traveller C-DM retains its iconic boxy design while integrating Chery’s Kunpeng Super Hybrid C-DM powertrain. In our tests, it delivered over 100 km of pure electric range (under CLTC standards) and a combined range exceeding 1,300 km, effectively alleviating range anxiety. Powered by a 1.5T engine paired with an electric motor, the system delivers a combined output of 265 kW, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately 7 seconds—offering both performance and fuel efficiency. Built on a body-on-frame chassis with an intelligent four-wheel-drive system, it strikes a solid balance between light off-roading and urban commuting. Inside, features like a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, Level 2 driver assistance, and heated seats enhance both tech appeal and comfort. Overall, the Jetour Traveller C-DM not only embodies the brand’s ‘Travel+’ philosophy but also stands out as a compelling, value-packed contender in the sub-$20,000 plug-in hybrid SUV segment.
